I haven't seen anyone hate on Marvel Tokon personally. If anything, I think people are just tired of the lack of new characters they've shown since release but people seem generally excited for it.

For fighting games specifically; a Record button in training mode

my assumption is that theres noo DLC cause otherwise he'd have to come back to it/split his attention on other projects (smash) so they just agreed to have everything in at launch instead

its actually a little disappointing there wont be new riders or anything but the game looks feature rich as is.

Yeah, the game really feels like he's just doing what he likes. You want a variety of different riders with different wacky abilities that probably aren't balanced at all but sound like fun to use? go for it. Want to bring back Top ride? why not. Want a weird gummi mode to reward online? Sure!

The million dollars comes from a soul-crushing job that leaves you with no time to spend it. That, or stuff keeps breaking and you have to keep replacing it, leaving you just as poor as you are now.

I think they do that in Silksong because it seems like an ending when you get the regular one. But then you find out theres an act 3 either by playing more or means outside the game and you go "wait what!?!" It's supposed to be a cool surprise

I think people are also just wanting the hype of another Smash.

Like people love the speculation on who can get into Smash, especially since it can be nearly any game character. Smash is held up on such a pedestal that people want to see 'their' character get in.

Kirby Air Riders looks great but is it just me or would "Kirby Road Trip" have been a better name? Maybe Kirby Air Trip? Air Road? Idk, something to make it a little more different than "Kirby AIr Ride"

Exact same issue here. "Man I'd love to learn how to do this thing" countered by needing to be taught a specific way otherwise I suffer an anxiety attack, or alternatively, wanting to be creative but simultaneously 'not feeling like it' so its hard to drag myself to do it unless I trick myself.

The idea of 'you could just NOT use it" is kinda something I've been thinking about lately too.

In this case, it sounds like the Chainsaw was more like an alternate playstyle in old SH? You could go for it but it has its own drawbacks so its a different experience

A list of animations to make a single character in "Rivals of Aether." There's 49 different animations listed. While some animations can be copy pasted (such as air-versions of special, or some of the hurt animations), there are many animations that you have to remember that can't be shortcutted very easily, like DashStart, stop, and turn. Jump Start, Wave Land, Bounce hurt, and spin hurt

For an example, I made a single character mod for Rivals of Aether (a MOD) and here is the list of animations I was given in order to make that happen.

Yeah sure, the attack animations were obvious, but there's so many little animations you don't even notice but can be important for game feel

But this was just for Melee and just for TUNING the characters. He was definitely very hands-on during development of Ultimate but he still didn't do EVERYTHING himself.

Yeah, I didn't find the levels that bad when I played it, and I assume its cause I wasn't trying to see if I can beat the level without moving left and right like other people were doing.

Like sure, it doesn't fully excuse that thats possible, but its definitely not as bad people make it sound.
