Honestly kinda dreading how much I'm gonna have to say about Gozyuger and the new state of the Sentai franchise when I write my review of the show. So much from the season I anticipated in my pre-release thread and yet even more than I could have ever possibly predicted, for better and for worse.

This poster also gives the same "mature coat of paint that's more likely to attract a global audience" vibe that Zeztz's prerelease material did, so good sign there. Hope Shout can clutch this one as well. Official simulcast for the whole Super Hero Time block in 2026 would be unprecedented peak

I'm guessing Universe Heroes was just an internal working title that leaked out. I was cross about that name at first too until the intent became more clear. Still think I prefer UH but this official name gets the full point across even better imo

As corny as the name sounds at surface level, Project RED definitely sounds more like a Sentai rebrand name over Universe Heroes, highlighting the focus on Red protagonists while also using the acronym to highlight the new emphasis on bringing multiple worlds together. A clever double meaning

Your enjoyment will probably depend on how much you like the secret agent motif. It appeals to me heavily so I'm into it, but if not, you might find it a bit slow.

Overall it's been about Gotchard level quality for me so far. Not mesmerized or blown away by it but still plenty to enjoy about it

It's been pretty good so far. There's been one major Takahashi-style twist so far that I felt was foreshadowed super well, but other than that it's been super episodic with pretty slow plot progression the classic two episode arc format. My favorite so far has been the prison break episodes.
