A sculpture on a white background. The sculpture is the head and upper portion of the neck of an owl. It most closely resembles a barn owl. The eyes are dark brown, the beak is gold, the coloration is made using rust red iron.

I really like the raw look of #maycoenglobe over my brown claybody. It has a rougher texture from the grog. I think the clay texture compliments the plant well! Should I do more unglazed englobe and slip work for my plant pots (^04 bisque, ^6).

Absolutely gorgeous! Is there a name for the smeary linework glaze technique? I keep seeing it around and can't seem to find it on Google.

Has anyone used WC 606 Speckled Clay from Laguna? I have 2 test trays drying. Would love to see some glaze examples if you have any. I just ordered 2 mayco stroke & coat glazes because I feel like they'd be really cool over a speckled body.

Being nonbinary and gay I also saw this coming. And when I've vocalized it the past year and a half people look at my in disbelief. It breaks my heart. I teach so many wonderful and diverse children. I'm so scared for our collective future. I know we can stick together and fight for everyone.

I'm currently working on a set of 10 marbled ceramic cache pots for the Botany Shop in South Bend. I might make a few that are more spherical.

“Fragile Masculinity (White Jockstrap)”, 2024, crocheted porcelain (cone 5, oxidation).

Truncated cone templates are challenging at first but I think I'm finally getting the hang of them again. The first one is about 10 inches tall. The piece with the red foam is double the size.

Did you try anything else? I've only used brown bear from Kentucky mudworks and a brown standard clay from my studio. Your test tiles are WILD.

I've been looking at the porcelain artist #marthagrover 's work and making some altered forms. I really like how this large planter turned out. I'm probably going to use some #amaco #satinmatte glazes for it. Thoughts on color?
