I was very worried the makers of the #ProjectHailMary movie were going to change the ending that happens in the book, but after listening to their panel at Comic-Con I am not. They didn’t say that explicitly, but their approach to the adaptation makes me think they wouldn’t.

Watched Untamed on Netflix, mystery set in Yosemite National Park. Was V good and had more Sam Neill than Apple +’s Invasion *Spoiler* which killed his ass in 10 minutes after he gave a speech about his life’s purpose. LOL.

In a recent Hollywood Reporter article one of #ProjectHailMary ‘s directors summed up the story this way

I’d describe V.E. Schwab’s Bury My Bones in the Midnight Soil as Interview With a Vampire x Bridgerton x The Hunger (awesome 80s Vamp movie). Entertaining escapist read and sometimes that’s what I want.

The part I liked most in R. F. Kuang’s the Poppy War is when Rin burns her uterus out. Relatable.

Saw #Superman was great. Finally a Lex Luthor that is not only a genius but also self aware.

TNG “Parallels” Season 7, Ep 11. Worf multiverse jumping episode. At start Worf expresses to Riker his concern that it’s his birthday. Gen Z kid comment: “What, they beat their ass on Klingon birthdays?”

Spoiler alert for Abercrombie’s #TheDevils . The high tower surprise is a surprise in a high tower. Har har har.

Joe Abercrombie's The Devils is the good meat 10/10. IMDB reports James Cameron making movie based on it. Now that I’d like to see! Hilariously bloody.

Seeing chatter that the #ProjectHailMary trailer gives away too much. Same discussion in my house. Book has two major twists and the trailer reveals one. Think is necessary so people know what kind of movie it is.

Have only gotten past the first two chapters of The Devils by Joe Abercrombie and can already tell best thing I’ve read in ages. Laughed out loud multiple times.

Fever House by Keith Rosson answers the question: What happens when you find a demon’s hand in a junkie’s freezer? Fun read.

I love how Syril and Dedra use the mother-in-law as a useful idiot because they know she’ll say some awful stuff Syril can refute so he appears to have a soul. #Andor
