That will be subjective in the end. I think they are so odd they are almost outsider art. With amwzing world building, visuals and sound design but bizarre decisions around comedy and the direction of the actors.

Theories on why the Prequels were reassessed? (I rather like them anyway.)

My own theory is that the sequel trilogy revealed that flawed art holds up better than auteurless commercial product.

But, purely commercial product CAN succeed as art (eg. The Lego Movie).

Trying to figure out why people cant hold two realities in their head: you can explore Superman as fun and pulpy, or an artist can do a gritty take.

Its strange that people see these things as oppositional instead of complimentary. As if there is only one 'right' way to approach it.

I treat these people now as research for how to write interesting villainy.

One of the creepiest things about fascism is learning you know people who support it, and that often they are essentially quite normal.
