That is some magnificent retro-engineering.

Look at me researching old warhammer vehicle designs instead of reconciling my business records for tax purposes.

Reason being that the 4th ed beacon was clearly transported to the location and anchored there rather than being shot from a missile. Literally strapping it to an outrider, driving it to the location, then popping the tires and running off would be an actual use case.
