Some adults hang in the hall outside the open library doors & natter away about how the country is going in the right direction and it’s about time all this happened.

The tone and every few words I catch are all setting my teeth on edge. Slowly driving me insane.

Each #WomensHistoryMonth and on this #WorkingClassHistoryWednesday I honor a courageous woman Mary Harris "Mother Jones" (1837-1930) who put her body on the line to secure rights for working class people - including miners and children. An Irish immigrant, she dedicated her life to seeking justice.

Voting has begun in our School-wide Humor Award competition! K/1 Ss are choosing their favorites on paper and 2-5 Ss are creating voting poster after digitally reviewing the contenders.

I’ll share poster examples and our big voting bulletin board soon.
