My cat’s issue is she’s irresistibly cute so everyone wants to pet her, but she also has anxiety so they don’t read her discomfort signals and get whacked. I try to warn them 😭 Thankfully she’s gotten much better, she used to straight up attack ppl and draw blood the moment boundaries were crossed

I feel the movie was kneecapped in a lot of ways but some of the scenes are still extremely powerful, especially the whole opening—and watching it just now made me tear up cuz its a little too apt, and we have still not learned from history

Yup same. Difference now is I am trying to be strong enough internally that I have confidence I can handle any bad thing that comes my way instead of being repeatedly crushed because bad shit will always happen. It’s so hard and mentally taxing though

Not to sound like a disney adult but I keep thinking of the “eyes of notre dame” scene from hunchback, how stories for children spell out the morals of how not to be an Evil Piece of Shit and it’s beyond the comprehension of ice agents, too stupid/cruel to self reflect. And everyone is seeing it

Change or stay stuck

I finally was like “I cannot let external factors keep dictating how my life is going when it’s good and keep becoming undone when it’s bad, I need structured + consistent internal stability” and up until I got sick I was killing it with health stuff and making progress, once I’m well I will again

I busted my ass all summer to get financially stable and was like “damn it’s so easy to do things when you’re not worried about money” then I had two majorly life disrupting events that undid that stability but! That has put me on a healthier, more sustainable path albeit a slow one

So my current trajectory right now is to get the fuck out of survival mode by selling fun and colorful critter designs and then uh go from there because it’s hard to think too many steps ahead while in survival mode
