On the weekend watchlist! The daily dispatches from Lael’s trip were a highlight of last year and I was fortunate to be in Chicago when she finished. Can’t wait to see what Rue captured.
One of the wilder political things in recent history is that Project 2025 publicly released a 900 page document laying out their plans to roll back 100 years of human progress and then during the campaign Republicans just said "no we're not :)" and then they won and now they're doing it all.
“The future could not be brighter.” –X CEO, Linda Yaccarino
One of those times when “could” means “might.”
What an asinine standard to set and what an abdication of duty and authority. If a shutdown occurs, it’s because the congress as a whole couldn’t find consensus. You 💯 supported the CR and its contents.
Today’s mug, apropos of n̶o̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ everything
They didn’t need your yes. But you’d rather agree to cuts that provide important services to veterans and other deserving Americans than even try to force a more reasonable CR. Shame on you and your performative moderate stance.
Good to be back! #FCCincinnati
This is like saying parents saved money by not feeding their kids as much and skipping doctors’ appointments. People were actually using the services he’s killed off, among them veterans.

“Because published government information is the evidence for a democracy, its preservation is essential.”
An explanation for this purge of information is simple: the actions and rationale of the current administration are directly opposed to the facts.
A good (re)listen. Much has changed since 2022, but much more is the same. Musk’s “success” rests on lofty, irresponsible promises with no sincere plans to deliver…whether cars, tunnels, or federal policy.

Congrats to the JBA semifinalists! I’m especially excited to see Mike Stankovich recognized. Longfellow and Mid-City are somehow exciting and comforting, new and familiar, damn cool and welcoming. His bar was the first place I visited in Cincinnati and is likely the first place I’m taking visitors.
