We do it, but like shadows that need unique shapes as just draw them lol
Yeah that just crossed my mind as well, took a second because it looks like every color range had its own texture !?! Haha
The way she is using the shapes of swatch to create unique shaped shadows is what's wacky to me haha normally it's just a color swatch and you smoosh the uvs in.
This kinda reminds me of how guilty gear does inner line work and shadows
Yeah that's the method I like the most but whatever it is they are doing is like another level of crime haha
This has got to be the most cracked way to do uvs ive ever seen.

I want an initial roster of 10 characters but....that's gonna be a lot of work so probably 6-7 will be available for early access.

I've already spoken to a few artist to gauge their interest in a project like this and they all seem pretty excited about the idea.
I'm still in the initial design phase but I was struggling on what the theme would be until I thought of collaborating with my fave artist.
I'm working on a balatro like dating sim that features online artists OCs.
