review the games you play if you want more indie games. even a single review can help an indie studio. and if you go through someone's catalogue and review several....? it helps so much more than you can imagine for small games.
Wrote the easy scene (1000 words of sad men pining for each other), now I gotta write the hard scene (a battle). 😩
Ah yeah, intermissions, super rare in NA. For me it's more about what the other people in the theatre are doing, which can be mitigated by theatre etiquette but A. can't count on that, and B. that's not the whole thing, just people eating or whatever distracts me sometimes. Love an empty cinema!!

#12: Whisper of the Heart (1995). Decided to rewatch my favourite film about writing, and my favourite Ghibli film, as I set out on a new(-ish) writing project. Cried a bunch and now I'm all fired up to polish some gems!! 😤

#10: Punishment Park (1971). Arrested for their political beliefs, young people make the one decision that gives them any semblance of agency and struggle against a system designed to fail them. Grim.

#2: Hades II. Hard to rank in relation to the first game. It's Hades but more, bigger, messier. Yeah, it fumbles its larger narrative, but I thought the first game's ending sucked, too. It's still great to play, though. I'm tapping out while I still like it.
Quite literally, until you have 10 reviews Steam doesn't surface you at all.
Those first 10 reviews change everything. If you see a game with less than 10 reviews, you are being shown a life you can dramatically improve.

#8: Go, Go Second Time Virgin (1969). Super low-budget pseudo-erotic black-and-white nihilism. Very fucking dark, about young people so broken and traumatized that they cannot fathom leaving, despite holding the key.
