90% of therapy techniques I've been exposed to either don't work on me or make me much worse, and I am feeling very relieved that this new therapist is not only not bothered by that (I have prev. been forced to do things that made me worse bc they didn't believe me) but she has actual OPTIONS.

my new therapist is so good. there's a specific thing I've always struggled with that only 1 other therapist has ever been able to help me handle (the good one that retired 😭), and then new therapist comes swooping in with fact sheets and technical terms and actionable ideas.

I know people often don't like fiction to be uncomfortable or sad but a) it's called dark fantasy for a reason and b) you need need need emotional skills to handle these things in real life and fiction helps you build them!!!! It's good to be a little bit upset by fiction now and then, I promise!!

When people complain there's no way to fix Karlach's heart in bg3 it makes me wanna scream. It's dnd fantasy terminal illness. Fiction is important to help you practise emotions and Karlach is a great opportunity for that. (And you can even end the game without her dying so it's already muted!!!!)
