The Flowers in the Dustbin In his autobiographical novel ‘Fever Pitch’, Nick Hornby writes about Arsenal centre-half Willie Young’s ludicrous professional foul on 17-year-old Paul Allen in the 1980 FA Cup Final defeat to West Ham United. The Irons, then in the second tier (a level they may be reacquainted with again very soon) were underdogs against Terry Neill’s side […] The post The Flowers in the Dustbin appeared first on Arseblog ... an Arsenal blog.

It's arrived and once again a proud Stillmum. On a day when @tim-stillman.bsky.social have had some good conversations. It's such a beautiful book and reminds me of matches spent initially with my son and now with his family whilst he's in the press area.

It's just foremostly a really gutting injury for Manu herself.

But also seems the likely way her time with the club will end and she's already played her final game for the club.

Team implications, too, esp with DvD's health, and seemingly Borbe's.

Just wish her well. 😔❤️⚪

Arsecast Extra Episode 662 - 12.10.2025

🎙️ PODCAST! It's an Interlull episode with @gunnerblog.bsky.social which certainly contains some Arsenal and football chat but also includes discussion of root vegetables, probably too much beard and moustache talk, a discoloured arm, plane gigantism, and lots more.

The FA deserve a huge amount of credit for their investment (both financial and in terms of resource) in women's football. Ultimately, England are winning tournaments and getting to finals because they are absolutely stacked with top class talent and that hasn't happened by accident.
