And with how far you’re traveling that totally makes sense. I just have a teacher’s bladder, so I can usually wait because I don’t want to ask either. I, unfortunately, spend entire flights feeling like my arm is in the way if I’m in an aisle seat, too. Good luck with no one taking the middle seat!

Personally, I’m a window seat girl (I’m generally not flying as far as you), but if I’m alone, I choose empty rows first (wishful thinking) and then my preferred seat where there’s no one in the center with the hope that no one takes the middle seat between two strangers.

If my husband asks why I’ve been spending so much time in the bathroom lately, it’s because the cat will only sit on my lap if I’m on the toilet. 🤣

I definitely hate how work interferes with hobbies (I’m currently stand next to a copier machine as it spits out my copies for the week). I hope you have time to read after work, at least!

I was nervous when I was pregnant and had gestational diabetes because of people like this. Not only is it for people, especially young, to see themselves represented, but it is also an educational tool this person clearly needs.

But I saw an ad for the Barbie the other day and thought of you! ❤️

I think it’s important for us to have good times (and not feel bad about it) during this shit or they truly win.

I’d also argue it’s not negativity so much as being appropriately aware. ❤️

Can all of us Americans pretend your birthday party is tonight and we’re all celebrating you with fireworks tonight?

Which day was it?

Yes, I do, but no, I do not get them from people unless they have it turned on. I don’t believe there’s any way to force that from a sender.

I put my phone on DND when Aurora was a baby because our sleep schedule was so off and it’s still on 7.5 years later (despite our sleep schedules being back to normal). heh.

Gotcha. I had a feeling that was it (you had mentioned the MRI was of your brain at the time), but I wasn’t sure specifically where else they were monitoring.

I’m sorry, Kristen. How do these differ from the MRI that was good a month ago (if you don’t mind elaborating)? 🫂❤️

I’m sure that’s part of it. It’s just hard to take a break from everything these days, but I’m trying to find a better balance. ❤️

Woohoo! 🥳

Did you at least get to spend a little bit of time with him before that?

This is what I tell my father when he asks how I got so tall (he used to be a little taller but not anymore). heh.

I can see some progress, but it can be frustratingly slow and inconsistent.

It’s also a matter of fighting the fear of being too much or bothering people, but that fear only causes avoidance, which in turn, hinders those relationships, so eventually I think I have to poke my head out. ❤️🫂

Oh, God, yes. The last couple years have literally felt like if it’s not one thing, it’s another. I would like to rescind my adulthood, please.

I’ve always been the responsible one and now I find myself avoiding everything, which only makes me feel worse in the end. And I know that logically, but I just can’t muster the motivation anymore.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re feeling similarly, though. 🫂❤️

I appreciate you, Rachel. I’m definitely trying to acknowledge all the little steps and some days that’s helpful, but other days, not so much. I think part of it is that it’s been so long (and the state of the world these days isn’t helping) that I’m struggling to see how it’s going to get better.

I had the biggest panic attack of my life a little over a week ago. It started as some abdominal pain that turned into nausea and then radiated out to my limbs so I felt pins and needles everywhere and was feeling dizzy. It would start to recede only to build back up again and lasted for hours.

I’m having a rough time. I’m overwhelmed by all that needs to be done, causing paralysis as I struggle to even pick somewhere to begin chipping away, which has resulted in things piling up for much longer than I care to admit. I’m embarrassed to share this, but suffering in silence hasn’t helped.

Same. I’m very grateful that most people have chosen to stay connected with each other in one way or another, but sometimes the difference still brings out the feels. I wonder what it was that brought it out this past weekend for both of us. 🫂❤️

Yeah, it’s so much more difficult to make excuses face-to-face, unfortunately. I know you’re not interested, but if you want to humor him, could you redirect him to the last five minutes of the work day or something?

I think the context of work is important here. Like it’s good if you are friendly with your co-workers, but you also have to do your job.

I once had a co-worker literally yell at me for not responding well enough when she could see my computer screen and what I was working on at the time.

That’s such good news! How often do you have to get MRIs done?
