The Taiwanese engineers/inventors were here today looking at my layout/drawings for the electrical, pneumatic and water distribution I designed and am installing. My favorite comment through their translator: “wow, we’re not used to it looking so good.”

Yes!

You push and you push, and you begin to feel like every day you grind for a whole week all just for an inch. For years. And then you look back and see that the inches have added up to miles, and now every day is a full step forward and you’re further than you had actually even dreamed possible.

I actually look forward to work. I like my job. I like my coworkers (mostly). I’m exceptionally good at what I do (better than anyone you know). Not every day is great, but it’s good enough. I have dreams and goals and plans to make them happen and it’s fun to work towards them.
