While birds did not evolve until the Cretaceous Period, plenty of lizard LIKE creatures evolved, as well as smaller pterodactyls, and insect eating dinosaurs came and went before then.

When i use those round plastic paint pallets i just put tape over the cell. Keeps it wet for a day or two. Otherwise if i mix a large batch i have old metal cat food bowls and put plastic wrap over it, or use a small Tupperware container.

Jeans or leggings work just fine (but im from MN so im used to cold weather and my legs can handle cold). If you're going to be outside for extended periods of time, layer leggings under jeans or something if you dont have long underwear. If you get too hot, you can always take the outer layer off.
