The movie is completely serviceable and I would say it's not the same kind of gamechanger that Superman was, but as a perennial enjoyer of Terrifying Vast Objects In Space I recommend seeing this bad boy in theaters solely to get the full impact of Galactus, I LOVE how they did the vfx for him -R

-Reed is The Genius whose job is Be Smart, but everyone else also gets to be smart in their own ways. Everyone was qualified to go to space and it shows
-Johnny is given things to do beyond Flirting With Hot Ladies
-Plans fail for *reasons*, not as diabolus ex machinas to stretch the plot
-AESTHETIC

Spoiler-free highlights for me personally:

-Ben Grimm being canonically jewish not erased from the story! (been holding a grudge since they stuck that crucifix on Wanda Maximoff's wall)
-So much lovingly rendered giant stuff in space
-Least asshole take on Reed Richards
-Most terrifying Sue Storm

Fantastic Four: First Steps is a good self-contained movie with nothing wrong with it, which feels downright groundbreaking for the MCU right now -R
