I'd just gotten X off the bus, so wasn't near warm water or saline. Only liquid I had in the car was iced coffee!

You know what's not pleasant? Getting candy cane shrapnel in your eye. An injury I never thought I'd get. Trying to fish it out with a tissue while it melted into mentholated goopiness was an... experience. I can still see, but I think it knocked my vision down 10 feet in my right eye.

What I miss about old Twitter is the ability to jump on and find out what was going on in my neighborhood immediately (like the answer to, "What were those four loud explosions?" or the reason why traffic is at a standstill). Bluesky isn't there quite yet.

I'm also of the "if it's in Metro-North territory, it's not upstate" camp. Capital Region slightly fuzzy, but still not upstate.
