Blwyddyn 3 had a great time learning about materials and conductors in science at @techniquest.org! We also enjoyed exploring the science exhibits together.
Yesterday afternoon St Paulβs turned into a movie theatre! A huge thankyou to the PTA for helping to make movie night such a success for the children.
Year 6 used the bar model to help us with fractions today. It is amazing to see thinking mathematically!

Year 6 used the animals in the story of The Arrival to design their own creatures.
Year 2 had a wonderful trip led by David Hall @CardiffHarbourAuthority @CardiffBay yesterday to introduce our Inquiry question, followed by a boat trip around the bay. We practised our navigation skills and learning about Cardiff Bay. We enjoyed reenacting our boat trip back at school today.
To finish our first week, Year 6 used the images from The Arrival and patterns in the book to create our own artwork. #belong
In literacy, Year 6 have started the story The arrival by Shaun Tan. We have thought about our concept of belonging and written short burst descriptive passages! #belonging
In maths this week, Year 6 have been thinking about place value and representing our ideas in different ways. We have focussed on our journaling and explaining our thinking!

Year 6 had a wonderful day at the WMC. We were able to use sound and light equipment and even climbed to the rooftop!
