Some photos from a little walk earlier
Big issue with recent book adaptations seems to be that they shift the audience perspective. In this case I think we were meant to relate with the religious chap but they were a non-character.
Also the value of the inheritance seems to change half a dozen times, including on this poster!
Absolutely lovely feedback from the youngest's producer for the last term. I say it often, but I can't believe how confident and capable my kids are - I was a nervous wreck as a child. So proud of her, and her brother and sister.
Considering the chaos that adventurers can do with a bucket, rope and a bag of ball-bearings, I still don’t understand why you’d give them wide (ie not hyper-specific) magic spells… it’s just asking for chaos.
We rubbed a cliff edge in butter then tricked 10 gnolls to their death today.
Just put “ah, ah, ah” (as required) before it, as though you have a sneeze caught. Easy.
Fab dinner with the BITs crew! #foodie #steak #dinner
I’ve never seen a farce in person, so this was super fun.
Happy Birthday to @jupiterhadley.com - world traveller, loving partner and all-around amazing person.
Swapped out my camera, so did some tinkering around with the settings when we popped out in the brief break between rainclouds today.
Omg, I happened to go to the same place and with the one I love!
Happy to be back in print again. If you pick up the latest edition of @debugmag.com then you can read my thoughts on @q-games.com's Dreams of Another as well as an ICYMI on the fantastic Death Road to Canada (from @madgarden.bsky.social & @rocketcatgames.bsky.social )
💎 Brilliant Indie Treasures will be back for 2026! 💎
We will be opening applications on April 6th for our Brilliant Indie Treasures showcase in Brighton.
📍BITs will be happening on July 15th at the Old Ship Hotel once again this year (don't worry, we have more space)
Big day in Pokemon Go today: 4 Shiny Background & 1 Hatched Hundo.
2026 is apparently the year we get gifted Pringles lol
Another amazing PGC London, I was busier than ever but had an amazing time. Wish I could have caught up with more people, but it was non-stop.
I didn’t take any pictures, so here’s a picture from the roof of The Barbican and one of Jupiter with the Lumino City blobs instead.
Dipped out from Pocket Gamer Connects to see Robin perform in Young Voices at the O2!
Robin has really started to shine in performing in the last year - so excited to hear her sing.
Sonic 35th anniversary? Finally time for Sega to acknowledge that Sonic Chaos (MS) was the path they should have followed and start the course correct. It's not too late John Sega (also, end the Opa-Opa, Alex Kidd, Wonderboy and Psycho Fox exile).
(I playtested this and liked it a lot)
A very cool thing to check out.
The first Issue of Game Poems is now live. The theme for this one is 'First Moves'.

Glad I didn’t make this a resolution or pact or something as I’ve already fallen off the tracks and started on a physical, card-based strategy game.
Last one looks mad, very red.
Every time I hear Cameron waffle on about technology not being advanced enough for more Avatar movies (tall blue peeps) I think of the little green peeps (Gremlins) and how the little weirdos were left behind to rot.
It’s tacky, but just like low-light, a little extra ice on the scene really shifts how things look.
Project-wise and growth-wise, 2025 turned out to be quite a good year for me.
For 2026 to be better I need to focus on things that are working and things that matter, and not get so distracted (or start so many time-consuming side projects).
TTRPG Tonight: Unflinchingly killed Santa and his possessed postbox.
Yeah, while the collection stuff is great, it’s more that I get to hang out with a bunch of people who have the same hobby as me. I’ve made quite a few friends for life through it.
Results are concluded for a walking challenge that some of my PoGo group and I took on.
Pretty chuffed that I managed 200km+ from Dec 1st to Christmas Eve, especially considering how much time I spend behind the wheel (and at the desk).
We had an amazing Christmas yesterday - the kids were buzzing all day. I even managed to level up my desk setup with some lovely gifts from Jupiter.
And now, last night, we did third Christmas with our wonderful tabletop group - some of my oldest, best friends. Jupiter laid out an amazing platter of meats, cheeses and some of her traditional dishes. After we had all filled up we spent the evening playing Jackbox rather than tabletop.
Yesterday we filled a room with a dozen great people, had a big roast dinner and just chatted rather than actually playing the Xmas-themed one-shot. It’s like a little found-family and I’m still feeling warm and full from it.
