You need the grow bags as I tried it without them and it did not work.
My Dad made the frame assisted by me. Four posts and using gutter clips to attach the guttering to the posts. I used Canna grow bags, at the time I brought them they were a reasonable price. They are now expensive so would use normal grow bags and make your own.
Hi yes you can 😀 - this is what I have done on my allotment. Make sure you have lots of drainage holes and strawberries need depth therefore used grow bags. Works really well.
Squashes and pumpkins have been amazing this year - all this from one plant per variety.

Elephant garlic and onion harvest. The most disappointing harvest ever!! Elephant garlic only half the size. Onions for the first ever impacted by onion fly and had to get rid off quite a few plants. Anyone else had issues with their garlic and onions? Any tips for next year? #allotment
