The Skids played the Odeon #otd in 1980. Richard Jobson picked out a kid from the crowd to belt out TV Stars on the encore.

I love Godlis’s work from that period. It’s collected in the fantastic book History Is Made At Night, unfortunately very pricey these days.

Looks like my first was April 1980 at the Nite Club, with Josef K and the Go-Between at the Nite Club. They played Valentino’s in May ‘81 with The Bluebells supporting - I’ve still got Student review of that one.

(Apologies for the slow reply, my memory’s fading so I had to look it all up!)

So glad you enjoyed it! I was a teenager when I first saw him, where did all those years go?
