Raptors ruled today at Ellerton LDV. Had White Tailed Eagle, Kestrel, Marsh Harrier, Red Kite, Buzzard and Peregrine plus hundreds of Redwing and Fieldfare.
Great day at Nosterfield today in good company.
Besides the usual suspects large numbers of teal, wigeon, golden plover, curlew and lapwing plus shoveler, goldeneye, shelduck, redshank and ruff.
Highlight was female peregrine from main hide. She's a big girl!
Highroyds Menston this afternoon. Red kite, teal, snipe and mandarin duck as well as the usual suspects
Hartlepool headland early this am. Red throated diver, great northern diver, arctic tern, med gull and whooper swan.
Saltholme for water pipit. Then finally Cowpen marsh. Peregrine, barn owl, marsh harrier, kestrel and sparrowhawk.
Also had grey seal, water vole, fox and deer
