In addition to proposing the largest cut to Medicaid in history, the reconciliation bill quietly kneecaps the ACA marketplaces.
Not with one or two big cuts, but with a bunch of smaller tweaks that, in self-reinforcing ways, make it harder to get and stay enrollled in marketplace coverage.

Dr. Peter Marks, recently pushed out of FDA, told us he believes the measles outbreak is being underreported. He says the case count is likely 3-7x higher, saying we could actually have as many as 3,000 cases. Yesterday, Sec'y Kennedy said we had 600+ cases and the outbreak was under control.

Texas: 481 (+59)
New Mexico: 54 (+6)
Oklahoma: 10
Kansas: 24 (+1)
HOSPITALIZATIONS: 58 (+14)
Texas: 56 (+14) have been hospitalized, 11.6%.
New Mexico: 2 (No change). This is 4.5% of NM cases.
DEATHS: 3 (+1)

PEPFAR was started under a Republican president — many American Christians were incredibly supportive of it at the time— and RFK jr at his confirmation hearing was on the record saying he supported PEPFAR. The American people must be reminded they have historically supported this too.
