Playtest feedback is gold.

Players want more clarity on what makes Godflesh's treasures special โ€“ the essence of dead gods embedded in each one. It's a blind spot I had in the quickstart, one we're fixing.

My take:

Steam Marketplace has a price cap. Expensive skins get traded off-site. Valve gets no cut.

By crashing the market they brought back a lot of trades: expensive skins are now tradable, and cheap ones got boosted.

5 skins worth $50 total ($6 Valve fee)? Now worth $1000 ($300 valve fee).

Over four weeks, we established the visual foundation โ€“ from character silhouettes showing the Strain's influence, to sacred architecture built from divine remains, to weapons designed for fighting both mortal and supernatural threats.

The challenge: showing a world where gods are grotesque, monstrous entities whose remains become construction materials. Where humans survive using bronze, bone, leather, and godflesh. Where the line between natural and supernatural is constantly blurred.

Somehow, I set the totally unrealistic and pointless goal for myself to get 1,000 stars on each of the Starter Kit repositories. City Builder is super close now with 974 stars, Basic Scene the furthest away with 222 stars (I got ideas to bump it ๐Ÿ‘€)

We made a new GDScript Formatter for Godot 4, written in Rust: www.gdquest.com/library/gdsc...

It runs fast enough to use on every save on a laptop.

Learning a new engine is hard, but I love that learning to do _anything_ basic in #GodotEngine is so straightforward and intuitive - if still a little buggy XD

I finished the three-week onboarding and training for my new job. A lot of the pressure has gone down. Which means that my mind is free to think about the important stuff: Writing the manuscript for #GodfleshRPG full release.
