How do Eldars dress out of battle???

Warhammer has no images for eldar civilian fashion, so I just let loose with ever I thought would be appropriate. The goal was to design garments that we wouldnโ€™t have names for.

STORMBRINGER (1977), Acrylic on Masonite - 30" x 20". Standing atop ruins at the end of the world, an anguished Elric thrusts the runeblade Stormbringer to the heavens. The sky behind him roils with clouds rendered in acidic green. The chainmail on his right arm is torn. He wears a yellow tunic and belts strapped across his waist and chest crusted with jewels. His purple and black cloak billows in the wind. From a leather cord, he holds an ivory horn with ornate swirls of gold. The ruins he stands upon are crumbling, including the face of a skull that is missing a chunk of forehead and part of the orbital. The mouth isn't human given the fangs in its mouth and the horns protruding off the side of the head that is intact. Off to the side, a pterosaur-like creature perches with wings spread.

In this weekโ€™s newsletter, we delve into legendary territory.

The year was 1977โ€ฆwith STORMBRINGER, I completed work on the Elric Saga and received my first World Fantasy Award nomination.

I always love the pictures of these two, they have such a wholesome dynamic.
I like on this one in particular that HE is the one who braids HER hair :)

Iโ€™ve just finished polishing the two brushes I rely on most. Since many of you asked, Iโ€™m releasing both on ArtStation. I keep my toolkit lean, with as few brushes as possible for clarity. I will drop the link and some examples of the paintings created with them.

A neat tool I just came across: Viabundus, a digital road map of northern Europe 1350-1650, that lets you calculate contemporary travel routes/times. In 1500, going Amiens โ†’ Kรถln by horse took almost 7 days and 13 toll payments.

Idk if it's just me, but the second one sounds like MUCH more dopamine while the first sounds like repetitive grind without a purpose in terms of narrative or story :/
Just from a first impression from the screenshot you posted, I didn't dig properly into it yet.

In a field of poppies, a skeletal figure wearing a black and red silk cloak holds a smiling mask set on the end of a thin staff. Sweeping the cloak aside in a welcoming gesture, it reveals an antique key hanging from a ring about its emaciated forearm. The other arm is tied off with rubber tubing. Pronounced veins run the length of necrotic flesh. Beneath the cloak, chains wraps the torso, criss-crossing, secured by a padlock. The green tunic beneath is torn to expose yellowing rib bones. Atop its tilted skull rests a crown of mushrooms and a single bird wing. Its orbitals are dead black, and many teeth are missing. A syringe dangles from a loose chain around its neck. Another needle hangs from its belt with longer cord weighed down by a spoon. A long opium pipe with a bulbous end is tucked through the belt. A winding tree rises behind the angel of death, bare limbs branching like veins, blue against the purple haze of the misty backdrop.

Acrylic on Canvas - 34โ€ x 24โ€

All of the concepts I submitted for the 1982 Yearโ€™s Best Horror Stories cover were strong. If I had tried to guess which one would be chosen, the concept that became this painting would have been my last guess. 1/5

A contrast of two worlds set atop a tower spire. The left is elegantly detailed with elvish artistry while the right looks crumbled and weathered. Drifting from the background left to right, smoke rises off onion domes of the city. As it crosses the spire, the smoke transforms to cloud cover. An elvish male stares off in the distance with his white cloak partially wrapping his arm and his spear pointed down over his knee. There is a green metallic sheen to his leg armor. He holds an ornate shield, pearlescent green at the edges and white at the center, decorated with glyphs bound in a pink circle. Kneeling next to him is an elvish female wearing a pink and purple cloak. Holding a slender sword in one hand, she grips the thin railing that sits low over architectural detail, broad white leaves. On the other side of the spire, a human female glances haughtily at the audience with a bow held out, braced on her hip. Kneeling next to her, a blonde bearded male with a snowy lock glances over. He rests his sword back on his shoulder while holding a simple wooden shield in his offhand. His pants are torn; her cloak is tattered. Their side of the tower is made of crude snow covered stone, underlining a different reality.

Another two examples, Enotria on the left, Fragments of the Past on the right, they were both painted at roughly the same time, at the inception of their respective projects. Sweet memories of "my God, I don't know how to paint, how am I supposed to finish this now?"

I switched over to #Linux #bazzite and I worried that only bigger mainstream titles via steam would work well, since that's what I found the most guides about online.
But even obscure things like Mods for 20-30 year old games work rather easily. :D
I'm overjoyed

RPG vet Josh Sawyer keeps things like Fallout and D&D grounded in history because 'Once things get too magicalโ€ฆ it's impossible to bring it back down to Earth' Which is also why Deadfire is the best CRPG of at least the last decade, just saying.

As Josh Sawyer points out, keeping things like Fallout and D&D grounded in history is very wise indeed.
