Gavin McKenna has levelled up and he will go first.

Expected Goals

Caps 2.78

Credit Dobes for making this look like an easy night. It has not been that.

I was slightly ready to kind of give up on Dach for the top line, but they’re having a great game.

Expected goals after 40

Danault line 2.6 per cent
Suzuki line 75 per cent
Evans line 77 percent
Kapanen line 23 percent

The Expected Goals is 2.6 per cent for the Danault line. Yikes.

Sabres winning 5-1 in Tampa. Wow. They are most definitely for real.

Stunning midseason turnaround.

Good for Bolduc. He's been quietly strong in this one. Nice pass to Matheson for the tally.

Don't ignore Newhook's ability to win the zone with his speed.

He and Suzuki get that PP assignment, and Newhook is actually better at it.

Newhook 2 points in 2 games since return.

The Sens are outshooting the Leafs 26-4. It's 3-2.

The Sens goaltending is so epically bad this season. They're a very good team that has the worst goaltending in the NHL.

Kapanen line really struggling since return from break. They're getting caved in for second straight game.

Why is an excellent scorer like Nick Suzuki terrible on breakaways?

Discuss

On pace for 48.64 … if he doesn’t score again tonight

Career high is 37. Caufield now with 35. 40 from Damphousse in 1994 on the horizon.

Can’t have a rebound on a 55 foot shot. Just can’t.

Stop showing Hutson. You can’t have a 55 footer stay in the scoring area.

That is the type of poor goaltending people don’t talk about.

That kid is good. Caufield with 34. That’s 4th in the NHL.

Only 30 seconds in.

1-0

My entire life all I heard about was America’s powerful checks and balances.

Umm.

No Congress voted. No NATO agreed. No United Nations lobbied.

Just whimsical killing.

MSL didn’t feel like they played enough with the puck down the stretch and feels that’s a mindset that he’s trying to install in his group.

Call of the Wilde: New York Islanders rebound to beat Montreal Canadiens 4-3 in OT - Montreal | Globalnews.ca The New York Islanders forced overtime with an extra attacker in the final two minutes, then won it in the extra session 4-3. Brian Wilde has more.

A bit of a disjointed one for the Montreal Canadiens in an overtime loss to the New York Islanders.

The Call Of The Wilde is brought to you thanks to Global Montreal.

When Zachary Bolduc is a healthy scratch, that’s a damn deep hockey team.

Tough lineup call for the head coach with Newhook returning.

These people are so pathetic. It’s so sad and embarrassing to human intelligence

They refuse to acknowledge that this is an enormously flawed human being.

Bill, I don’t know.

On the one hand, I do believe 3-4 overtime period games each playoff 10 times is too much. The hockey becomes very dull. It’s actually not exciting at 2 am. Bad for the game.

But the 3 on 3 is not how the game was built. Personally, I don’t have issue with change but many do.

24.02.2026 01:43 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I don't even want to or are trying to argue for Suzuki. It's about that 150 feet of gliding by an exhausted player or 150 feet of going all out by a rested player is the difference between Jack Hughes having a man on him and Hughes not having a man on him to take that shot.

Any rested guy would do.

23.02.2026 21:53 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

And I don't want to concede this. They got goalied. But they also gave up the winning goal which had zero to do with getting goalied.

And on that goal..

It's the gold medal, and the two guys are completely gassed. They got nothing in them left.

They know it's important, and they got nothing left.
