Former N.H. addiction treatment center CEO faces conspiracy, vandalism charges in court The former head of New Hampshire's largest addiction treatment center was arraigned in federal court Monday, after he was indicted on charges of orchestrating attacks on journalists' homes.

Eric Spofford is accused of orchestrating attacks on New Hampshire Public Radio journalists' homes, after they published an investigation into his alleged sexual misconduct.

Prosecutors say he paid a friend $20,000 to organize the vandalism, which included bricks thrown through windows.
