netanyahu successfully ratfucked trump back into the white house at a cost of genocide and biden was only too happy to go along with the destruction of both his own party and the palestinian people
just a horrifying shitshow all around
Absolutely hate “we went too far” revisionist history. “We all believed women and it went too far.” No we did not all believe women. I was there
the reason gen z doesn’t care at all about “china having their data” is because gen z knows that the US government has collected their online activity data since they were born
that is a wild take. conservatives are going to strip more workers rights and make things even worse
Josh Hawley and Eric Schmidt won't listen to me
I know. I'm part of the left obviously
hey I feel the same way. I'm not going to try to minimize the rise of bigotry in this country. but it's ridiculous to pretend that the standard of living hasn't consistently gotten worse and worse as neoliberal economics have continued to undo new deal era policy.
the amounts of gen z voters that sat out to teach the Democrats a lesson is extremely small. the larger problem is how so many Americans are willing to ignore Trump's racism and bigotry in order to vote for him.
to have this opinion about climate change while not even being paid by the oil companies is so silly.
literally every single respectable climate scientist has said and proven that anthropogenic climate change is unprecedented and dangerous. the UN climate report, which usually has a more conservative outlook on climate change, is even sounding the alarm.
you have more in common with a gen z working class person than you do a millennial CEO. it's a good idea to listen to their experiences instead of hand waving them and dismissing them
things are only going to get worse for all of us, especially when we bicker and put down the younger generations instead of unifying and doing something about it.
can we expect this to continue though when climate change continues to worsen? this also ignores the increase in climate refugees as well. there are other things we're going to have to look out for like rolling blackouts, food shortages, and a more expensive cost of living
in addition, the rise of the gig economy has shown that many workers have either been forced into this sector due to layoffs or they need to work more than one job to survive. the gig economy does not provide a minimum wage or benefits. there are also way fewer labor protections
purchasing power for our wages has remained stagnant and even decreased since the recession. the minimum wage hasn't increased since 2008. corporations have been working to cut labor costs since the recession to increase their stock prices leading to layoffs
I'm not talking about the white working class I'm talking about the working class in general. listen I'm trans and I'm quite aware of the bigotry problem within the white working class. that doesn't mean that I'm going to side with capitalists and hope that the world gets more difficult for workers
this is such an out of touch opinion. how can you ignore the alarms that climate scientists have been raising for decades? why try to minimize the concerns around climate change as being based on a overhyped political narrative?
they will, but that doesn't change the fact that life is becoming more difficult for the working class every year. generations are an arbitrary label to put on people. you choosing to gatekeep "real" suffering is kind of stupid when we're all on this elevator to hell together.
opportunities for the working class have not improved very much since 2008. most of the job growth we have seen since then has been in the retail sector and in the gig economy.
this is a stupid spiteful post. either the left can acknowledge that wealth inequality is making life more difficult for the working class each year, or we can ignore this reality and let the right radicalize young working class people with their incorrect and reactionary opinions.
you putting down Gen Z is exactly what the capitalists want you to do. it's indisputable that wealth inequality has been becoming more and more extreme since the 1970s. there's no recession yet but they're definitely will be one when the tariffs come, and it will be even worse than 2008.
Fanta was created so coke could sell soda in nazi Germany around a trade embargo. IBM sold the machines that were used to track and tabulate holocaust victims. Henry Ford inspired Hitler. Big business has always collaborated with fascism. Today's businesses are bastards who are no different.
feels like we're about a week from Zuck personally firing every LGBTQ+ person at the company with an email filled with slurs at this rate, this is performative cruelty
we had a great 8 years of it being acceptable to be publicly queer but the right tapped into their hysteria and are trying to push us back decades. this is why the left warned of relying on rainbow capitalism because their support was about profit above all else. the solution is for us to not hide
