There’s no room for mutual trust, or respect, or joy. Just contempt, inequity, and their endless reproduction.

There is no sex without politics. And only with a politics of consent, candor, openness, and equality can you make enough room in your imagination, or even more so in your heart, for anything that isn’t a limp imitation of power games you’ve absorbed from culture: overwhelmingly disappointing ones.
