Stand in morning light,
stand for teachers, for firemen,
for tax collectors,
for those least loved,
formed in the holy image,
the different, crooked,
neurodivergent, gender
unsure, scared, all of us
imperfect creatures.
Congress in streets,
speak for the laws
that set us free.
Go Cory, go!
Last Thursday, at the Grolier Poetry Book Shop -- reading by Greg Delanty.
Ski Day!
Four years to the day from my stem-cell transplant. Going strong.
A day with no shield,
the bags are deployed,
wrap me in bubble-wrap,
Our stock market is crashing.
Our economy is contracting.
Our government is dismantling.
Our allies are fleeing.
Our grocery prices are rising.
But at least we now call it "The Gulf of America."
So it all evens out.
Dinner at Travelers Books, Union, CT. Decent food, and used books to take home.
NEW: Senator Marshall (R-KS) RUNS AWAY, fleeing his own town hall after being asked about DOGE firing Veterans. MAKE HIM GO VIRAL.
Grateful to JC & Tobi Alfier for publishing my poem "Night" in the latest issue (Spring 2025) of San Pedro River Review.
The bed so cold, I've left
the window open in case
you come back....
