She remembers Kainé telling her about some of her experiences with villages and the people in them, and how they weren't always pleasant.

Well, now she has one more friend.

Kainé mentioned Nier and Emile to A2 once, she always thought they were friends of her's.

"I had wondered if anything had happened to you, before we met again.
I'm glad I was wrong to think that.

You could stay at the village too, if you want."

She does, A2 always has. The android doesn't really have friends anymore, she's glad to call Kainé one.

"I'm glad you're surviving, that's good.
I've just mostly been helping the village however possible, I haven't done much other than that."

It's the least she could do, Kainé is really the only person A2 can consider a friend after all.

"Have you been doing anything else lately?"

If she does ever need anything all she has to do this.

"I'll take you to the village, it's not far."

And living in that shack can't be good, which is why she's offering the other room to Kainé.

"I am, I never use that room so it's all yours."

Well that won't do, she deserves to live in something better than a shack.

"I am, you won't.
Don't worry, it'll be alright."

It was, she greatly appreciated it.

A shack—?

"There's another room with a bed in the house, it's yours if you want it."

"It took a long time but they have."

A2 used to stay in a old, more run down house in the village for a while until the people trusted her.

One day while she was out taking care of a few things for them, they repaired the house before she got back.

"Do you have anywhere to stay?"

It definitely would be.

"It's going well, at first the villagers we're wary and some didn't trust me.

But now, I think, they've begun to accept me."

It does show a little, enough for A2 to take note of it at the very least.

"It's good to know that hasn't changed.
I've been trying to help the village however I can."

She hasn't seen her in so long, the android was momentarily surprised.

"Where have you been?"

Definitely, far too much time has gone by.

Turning around at the sound of a familiar voice, light blue eyes meet grayish-yellow eyes.

"...Kainé?"

Facing her fully now, A2 didn't think she'd see her again.
