Many years ago, when I was on faculty at Emory University, I had the honor of having lunch with President Carter and a few other folks from the university. He is the personification of a life of service and humanitarianism. The world has lost a great man

How inflation makes your state’s criminal justice system harsher today than it was yesterday The case for increasing the monetary level for felony theft.

This Black Friday, you'll probably notice the effects of inflation on price tags. What might not be so obvious though is its effect on the criminal legal system.

It’s a mistake to ask this question because it assumes Trump’s rationality.

He wants to do this because it makes him feel powerful. He doesn’t care if the effects are good or bad. Indeed, the more destruction he causes, or the more people fear destruction he may cause, the more powerful he feels.

The school safety market is a $3B industry but most products, like bulletproof whiteboards and AI cameras, have zero evidence that they work.

I spoke tonight with CBS Eye on America about my skepticism and how schools can better invest to keep children safe.
