Isn't this a Flight of the Conchords bit? They went back in time and taught David Bowie his own songs. In the end they gave him an Easy to Play: Bowie book to save time.

As if you need another reason to back a children's book by Chris, he's also offering a mini comedy writing guide as a reward. I got one of these with his first book and it's well worth doing! Support new writers and new writing!

Great thread on multi-camera TV.
I think partly this is down to the absolute obsession with realism, often to the exclusion of all other forms of expression. Anything even slightly heightened or, god forbid, theatrical is seen as dated.
