Those of you saying "you just need to bite your tongue for the next 4 years" don't realize the amount of privilege you have. What about the women who will die without access to medical care? What about the immigrants? What about the Palestinians? The disabled? Black and brown people? Queer people?

Helping your child communicate when your child has a communication-related disability isn't ableist. Yes, there are horrible mothers of autistics out there, but much of the hate directed towards autism moms comes from LSN autistics who do not understand the reality of being an M/HSN autistic. 2/3

Actually, advocating for your child’s needs isn’t ableist. - I see a lot of LSN verbal autistics criticize “autism moms” for advocating on behalf of their minimally verbal or non verbal autistic children as being ableist and “speaking over their children.” 1/3

If you are an LSN autistic, you are disabled enough.

One of my big sensory icks is getting water on my face around my mouth. I have a hard time drinking water without it spilling all over my face and straws are also hard for me, so I need to run to wipe off my face any time I drink water or I WILL scream.
