It was all pretty offensive tbh. I thought the comments about GSoA from people outwith Glasgow were quite wrong (and dumb)! A. There’s no proof and b. My understanding was getting the insurance to pay out given the previous fire was… tricky.

I don’t really, no. I think it’s unnecessarily defensive. No one is saying it’s irrational to be happy when you’re poor, just that you can’t therapy your way out of shitty situations and that deprivation has an effect on mental health (as it does on all aspects of one’s health)

I feel deeply stressed. Is this the fire? I genuinely don’t know. Like, not sure I can sleep kind of stressed.

I mean, sure therapy can help you come to terms with things being shit, help you integrate it, help you to stop blaming yourself for shit that’s not your fault, help you realise where you *have* autonomy and *can* fight back etc. etc. but it can’t actually make the world a better place.

As a therapist, I endorse this message.

BUT it is nice and tidy as a loop so…
