In our partnership with BeeKC we are having our first honey harvest on Sunday September 7th 10am-12pm! BeeKC will be joining us to show how honey is harvested directly from hives here in the cemetery. This is a free family event! Jars will be available for purchase to take honey home that day.

A tiny gold coffin pendant. The opened lid reveals a tiny skeleton lying within. The coffin is decorated with nails and has three handles on each side.

It’s a coffin! A fine way to grab a death historian’s interest. This coffin pendant is a quite a bit smaller and its pop-out inhabitant is not faithful or a traitor but a memento mori skeleton. #thetraitors

Carved from wood, this 16th-century figure shows a corpse inside a coffin. The body is decaying and worms are spilling from the stomach. The coffin is a memento mori, an object that reminds the viewer of the shortness of human life & the inevitability of death.
