If I can pay off my debt early and secure enough operating funds for the company, I’d love to get started right away.
But right now, we’re still on the brink of going under.
Orientalism and nihonjinron as a form of self-orientalism have fed off each other for so long that the lines are so blurry as to be indistinguishable at times. I feel like a lot of westerners go in with the former and then have their preconceptions reinforced by the latter, both share in the blame.
Goofy ass westerners buying into Nihonjinron
Him being more concerned with defending the honour of the publication he writes for than actually speaking out against human rights abuses and his journalist chums who have been peddling exterminationist rhetoric for years tells me all I need to know about him to be honest.
Oh dear, I have respected Monbiot for a long time but his silence on this matter as well as the utterly risible post below makes it difficult for me to give him the benefit of the doubt.

They did the same nonsense with DMC3 and Onimusha DOD, either out of a misguided notion that western gamers wanted harder games or to combat rental market.
Price didn't help but I think it would have reviewed better and lead to more people giving it a chance if Capcom USA hadn't messed with the game balance. I originally went with the Japanese release and loved it and then bought a US copy when it was cheap as an excuse to play it again, liked it less
This was another one of those games from this time period that Capcom USA botched for overseas markets: they jacked up the cost of upgrades forcing you to grind and the Blackbird suit is harder to unlock. I think it would have been much better received by players if they hadn't meddled with it.
Wish LRG hadn't got the rights to Snow Bros, it would have been a nice replacement for Twin Cobra.
Agree with all of this thread. Far too many people rehashing fabrications about SoJ hamstringing SoA and how Kalinske was corporate Jesus who never put a foot wrong to the extent that they have become accepted as fact.
Having overclock, TMSS removal and DFO along with all the usual region mods rolled into one is amazing work! Well done!
I buy most of the after-market Mega Drive releases that come out, I won't be buying this one. Them slapping their name all over everything is so tacky, who the hell wants this eyesore on their shelf.
Like... just use the R2one codename as the product name, that was fine.
Please think up a different name.
Having gotten up to date with the manga, don't worry, the worst of the sketchy stuff is over. Really bad decision to end the season with THAT scene.
That's not December data, weeks 47 and 48 are November: "Semana 47 de 2024, del 18 al 24 de noviembre, y la Semana 48, del 25 de noviembre al 1 de diciembre"
Still dreadful to be outsold by a retro console re-release during Black Friday period.
We do not have data for December yet, unless you have another source? Weeks 47 and 48 are the latest to be published: www.gamereactor.es/buscar/?sear...
Good job pissing away all the good will you had accumulated up to this point in one cowardly statement.
People freaking out over this when LG hasn't put out a new device in several years. Panasonic and Sony (with a bit of Magnetar at the high end) have been the only major companies in this space for quite some time.

My big project: The Death Generator.
It's a tool for making fake video game screenshots, just fill in new text and it'll give you a (generally) pixel-accurate image back, the correct fonts and everything.

Those sick box-arts are what make collecting Japanese Mega Drive such a joy. I don't mind the US black boxes too much but those red ones are terrible (especially if they're cardboard only).

Dororo (Blood Will Tell): All 48 body parts and true ending. I enjoyed this for the most part, despite some truly wretched platforming sections. Always nice to play a game that focuses on boss fights, each of which restores a body part to Hyakkimaru. Would rate it a 3/5.
