The Scientific Committee of the BeNeLux Geography Conference has curated a first set of proposed sessions to kickstart our intellectual exchange. From countermapping and the governance of AI infrastructure, to bridging the natural and social perspectives within our discipline.

The conference is organized by the geographical communities of the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg, and will provide an opportunity to present and debate work in geography and spatial planning as well as ample opportunities for informal conversation and networking.

On 8-10 April 2026 the inaugural “BeNeLux Geography” conference will be held in Leuven, Belgium.

I got a look at the progression timeline for AI development and it said the "facilitate racism, misogyny, and fascism" phase comes right before the "cure cancer" phase which then leads to "solve climate change." It's a weird sequence but that's how tech works. The good stuff is coming any day now!
