Please don't use AI slop to make a point, even if it's"just for fun". It's cheap and convenient, but literally everything about it - from the environmental impact to lining the pockets of billionaires - directly contradicts what we on the left should stand for.

When your government becomes traitorous and tyrannical, it is the responsibility of the people to take action by disrupting and dismantling the system and building something new.

It's not just rising oil prices you'll have to worry about if Iran conflict continues A global food shortage and a reacceleration of generationally high inflation might be on the horizon, thanks to U.S. engagements in Iran

"The Strait of Hormuz’s closure isn’t just bad news for oil; it could also be bad news for global food security.

"Critical ingredients used in fertilizer, such as urea, sulfur, ammonia, and phosphates are produced around the region and pass through the Strait.."

Spoiler: it was never there in the first place.

Not for nothing did Thatcher call Blair (and New Labour) her "greatest achievement". He even said: "I always thought my job was to build on some of the things [Thatcher] had done rather than reverse them."

Despicable.

Frack Attack on Dorset: How Reform UK Intends to Tear Up the Jurassic Coast - Dorset Eye Drill, Baby, Drill β€” And Dorset Pays the Price For many residents of South Dorset, the idea that drilling rigs and gas wells could one day puncture the county’s peaceful countryside seems almost unimaginable. Yet the policies promoted by Reform UK suggest that such a future may not be far-fetched. The party led by Nigel […]

Dubai is built on slave labour. It's a microcosm of patriarchal capitalism, with all the punitive hierarchies that entails. The only diversity they celebrate is rich, white, cis-het people being able to order takeaway from a dozen different cultures.

Grammarly is using our identities without permission Grammarly’s AI stole my boss’s identity.

I happened to be in downtown SF today, so I tried stopping by the Superhuman AI office to ask about the AI β€œeditor” based on me. Unfortunately just got a very nice office manager who said no one was in.

Lots of games people in Grammarly’s pool too besides me…

Dear Shabana,
I notice today that you referred to me in your speech on immigration at the IPPR think tank.
You said: β€œA party leader should not be on the beaches of France encouraging people to
make a perilous crossing on small boats.”
I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised especially after the hateful Labour campaign in Gorton
and Denton, but this is just the latest in a string of lies peddled by a discredited Government
who intentionally fan the flames of racism and division.
When I went to Calais, I was not there to encourage people to travel to the UK. I was there
to see at first hand the suffering your Government and successive Governments have done
in demonising migrants in a pathetic bid to pander to the base instincts of Reform and the
flawed strategy of Morgan McSweeney.
As you will know, if you even bothered to research my visit instead of taking Reform talking
points, I was there to witness the brutality of families living in tents in freezing temperatures. I
filled water tanks and picked up litter.
What that visit did do is confirm my belief that if we are to smash the boat gangs and stop
the boats, we need to offer safer and managed routes for migrants to come to this country.
Showing compassion as a politician is not a crime. In fact, we need to see much more of it.
It reminded me of a young MP who in October 2015 spent three days in Lesbos helping
migrants fleeing war-torn Syria. She posted videos on X, talked about handing out water and
croissants to refugees and food parcels.
When she returned to the UK, she wrote a very moving piece in the New Statesman. She
said β€œwe have to work with our European partners and create new, safe, and legal routes for
refugees to get to Europe. We cannot abandon them to their fate, left as prey for smugglers
whilst risking death on the seas.”
She said β€œmaybe we can make ourselves feel better by saying no-one is making them get on
the boats. And again, the Home Secretary is not entirely wrong when …
