I've been trying to figure out what's missing from Fields of Mistria that has it just falling short of Stardew, I think it's atmosphere, I love Fields but it's just a bit muted in places, somewhat a little faded and lacking warmth

I played a fair amount of Fields of Mistria but it never quite elicited the same emotions of warmth and comfort. .
It's superior in many ways and solves a lot of QoL issues but it doesn't quite make the hear stir.
