Lolani is getting promoted to big sister!
Parker, our female gibbon, is pregnant and expecting baby #2 with our male gibbon, Milo! She is due in July.
White-cheeked gibbons are classified as critically endangered so this is a huge win for conservation!

Something big is coming to your Akron Zoo this summer: dinosaurs!
DinoTrek will run May 10 - Sept. 14 and feature 20 life-size animatronic dinosaurs located throughout the zoo.
DinoTrek is included with general admission and free for Akron Zoo members.

Your Akron Zoo will be closed today, Tuesday, Jan. 21 and tomorrow, Jan. 22 due to the extreme cold temperatures. We will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 23.
With the cold temperatures, our keepers provide additional precautions that keep our animals safe.
Today, we celebrate and reflect on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
You can visit the temporary exhibit, "Celebrating Black History in Perkins Woods," now through March 7.
