National Drowning Reports Every year, Royal Life Saving produces a National Drowning Report. The report examines the factors that contribute to drowning deaths in Australia.

Royal Life Saving Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia recently launched the National Drowning Report 2025.

The report highlights a concerning increase in fatalities: 357 people drowned in the past year, marking a 27% rise compared to the ten-year average.
