Joint Custody is my go-to when I visit my parents. There are two locations (U st. & Takoma), both are worth spending some time at. For used books, I'm a big fan of Second Story Books in Dupont. But I think there are probably others that are probably slipping my mind. Also, eat Ethiopian food.
