Da allora, più di 20.700 persone hanno perso la vita lungo la rotta del Mediterraneo centrale.

Rapporto OIM - Oltre 8.900 migranti sono morti nel 2024 lungo le rotte migratorie di tutto il mondo: l’anno più letale mai registrato a livello globale.

Il Mediterraneo centrale resta la singola rotta più pericolosa (e nel 2025 si stimano gia 208 vittime).

La stima (OIM) di 700000 non è una novità ed è in realtà invariata da anni: indica il numero di stranieri in Libia, ma non chi vuole partire.

La decisione di partire (e la possibilità di farlo) dipende da dinamiche complesse, mutevoli e non quantificabili.
