The next generation has arrived in Amboseli. After months of drought, signs of rain are stirring life back into the land. Fresh green shoots, newborn calves, and fragile giraffes with umbilical cords still attached—each one proof that nature endures and our work matters. 🌧️🦒

Fence-Breaker 6 has a new home! After years of breaking fences, our rangers and partners relocated this 12,000-pound rebel with his friend to Tsavo East to keep peace between people and elephants.

Big Life Foundation - FIRE UNDER THE MOUNTAIN Working in wildlife conservation often seems like an endless series of putting out fires. Here in Amboseli, it’s the peak of the dry season and literal fires are a very real and potentially lethal concern.

Fires can help an ecosystem—but this one nearly destroyed it. Farmers’ burning sparked a blaze that ripped through Amboseli. Our rangers fought to stop it.

Vultures = nature’s cleanup crew. They stop disease + keep balance. But poison is wiping them out. In Kenya, 6 of 7 species are threatened. Big Life’s work to reduce conflict has nearly ended poisoning in our area, giving vultures hope. #VultureDay

On the frontlines of Chyulu Hills, our rangers work tirelessly to dismantle deadly snares before they kill. Since July, 96 traps have been recovered and destroyed—96 animals spared a slow and painful death. Every snare removed is a life saved, and together we’re protecting wildlife.

Big Life Foundation - GIRAFFE BUTCHERS BUSTED Both poachers were seen by community members who quickly called Big Life, and in both cases our rangers arrived at the scene quickly to arrest the poachers, literally red-handed.
