The first one is not applicable is modern economics though. The first crash is regarding a nascent industry with limited power. A modern crash is going to result in basically no western developers with them being seen as toxic investments.
Ubisoft alone would be catastrophic with somewhere in the neighborhood of 10,000 jobs lost with most of the studios closed. Only Tencent was willing to invest in them under a pretty crazy deal. If they divest, Ubisoft is going the way of THQ and having a fire sale.
Medalist had been really good, with a bunch of good performances this season. I'm a couple episodes behind but this is one of the older girls they introduced this season.
The Japanese ones tend to get a bunch of localizations that the English already have. My guess is that most of the new games will be shared in both with Japan getting a bunch of stuff that released already in the US.
