Same shit with a different coat of paint. Same exact comments and discourses people have had in 2010s just repolished as "something new" and "transgressive" because America (and the rest of the 'western' world) has seen a visible resurfacing of fascism

"Woke 2.0" just seems like a bunch of people who had many problems with 2010s american progressivism they (barely) shut up about trying to create a new progressive movement solely from venting their frustration at "Woke 1.0"

watching some crimson desert previews finding myself way less impressed with the graphics than everyone else. i'm sure a part of that is youtube bitrate but also i think we've fully hit the point where realistic, impressive open world rendering is almost a drawback in open world aesthetics to me

The way A2 gets treated alone is just so abysmal it made the entirety of act 3/C side unbearable

Very good video, subtitles are good and have good notes. I highly recommend people watch it.

But every time she mentions nier I felt a little disappointed

an artwork by Spindle of the character/self-insert, Spindle, wearing various outfits of my irl outfits. There are 3 fits, from left to right:
1) Casual fit, black top with a white Japanese print on it that reads "Kaizen." and grey capri pants with white square patterns

2) Casual summer fit, white top with a red circle and a [very loosely drawn] Samurai in it, and beige thin capri pants, alongside black open-top flats.

3) Formal, a black turtleneck, with grey capri pants, and dark brown boots

Recently bought some new outfits (finally found capri pants that are my size!!!!), decided to draw Spindle wearing them <3

the world order effectively letting the palestinian genocide occur with no real objections has effectively dropped the formalities around pretending to care about genocide in the post-ww2 era and so the 21st century will be marked by more genocides & attempts to depoliticize them

The jello is actually an alge tank meant to substitute a tree for CO2 capture or whatever the term for it is. Im unsure if they were supposed to be installed in sarajevo or beograd but yeah.

Of course, there are benefits to a transient, private internet. There are lots of things that are illegal but good, and the anonimity of the internet allows people to participate in independent journalism, gray market hrt, connect with marginalized people despite their surroundings etc.

If we disagree, and decide that they arent responsible, then what is stopping people from just doing kiwifarms or distributing child pornography? If the real culprit is untraceable and the host doesn't have a responsibility to moderate the data, how do we stop people from doing these things?

And if we agree that you are responsible, not only do companies (or public services) have a duty to keep records of everyone that has used their service, they also have to moderate all content that comes in, which further deanonymizes users.

My point is that hosting, processing and transmitting data should make you responsible for it, but the notion up until the late 2010/early 2020s was that you aren't. It's not a money issue, it's simply that lots of services are simply not sustainable if you are responsible for that data.

while us cultural hegemony has no doubt influenced the globe, i think a more internationalized multicultural world as opposed to intl. us cultural hegemony is probably going to be a more productive one in terms of artistic creation, including the art made in the us as well

Picture of tweet by twitter user @figamin:
"In an era where anonymity is being destroyed piece by piece, running a personal website is an act of defiance."
It has a picture of their personal website attached.

Retweet by me (@Rest1ess1):
"Oh the personal website that requires you to buy a domain with your name on it? Or the personal website hosted on a platform which requires you to create an account? Or the personal website hosted on your server which has its traffic routed by your isp that you pay in your name?" Tweet by @TracketPacer:
"I'll admit to being one of the folks who loudly hates this even though I don't use 18+ shit. I'm tired of the only real laws for internet privacy being ones that harvest our data"

Retweet by me:
"I mean yeah whatever sensible worries you might have about the internet will get highjacked by people with ulterior motives so the solution is simple #destroytheworldwideweb" Reply tweets by me:
"(pretend ip and broadcasting rights are something we actually care about for a moment)
Case that comes to mind is Spanish TV companies getting mad at pirate sites taking viewership during football matches. Due to cloudflare providing hosting services to these pirate sites and offering little to no way to stop this (because doing so would require cloudflare to analyse the sites of all customers, which is both an invasion of privacy in a way and too costly) so during football matches ISPs just block all of cloudflare IPs"

couple more stuff

art thats walled by having to solve a math question but the more abstract or complicated the stuff depicted in that art is, the more complicated the math is. a simple character doodle is like 4 x 6. for the artist's freakiest stuff you need to solve questions from hartshorne's algebraic geometry
