I write books for the kid I used to be, to show him that monsters can be heros.

kids also need monsters because what do monsters threaten?
Police. Militaries. Governments. Business. Marriage. Heterosexuality. Unscrupulous scientists. Colonizers.
Many of us need to remember we have our teeth, and we are as unstoppable as our adversaries fear.
I like it when the big bestial monster is actually silly and goofy.
