Sunday morning house humidification and soup stock makin’

Boil for 6 hours or so and the trotter falls apart and a beautiful broth full of collagen/gelatin remains.

Freeze that for later to make soup after work.

Boil sweet potato 🍠 noodles and store those, too.

Plus the house smells great.

The finished stir fry in a bowl.

I'll stir fry ingredients except rice in a carbon steel wok.

Prep for the stir fry after the shrimp have been partially cooked. Shrimp is bottom left to the right is a scrambled uncooked egg. Top left is a plate with onions, carrot and bell pepper. To the right is a jar of universal stir-fry sauce and to the right of that is some chopped cabbage.

Stir fry tonight with shrimp, onion, garlic, green bell pepper, carrot, cabbage, egg and universal stir fry sauce with Jasmine rice. 🍽️🍜🇹🇭

Dinner tonight was pizza inspired by @kylieac1.bsky.social and @thegrumpypoof.bsky.social. Dough was in the freezer and some of the toppings were leftover so pretty easy.

Early autumn is red bell pepper season. The local variety has a more pointed and slender shape. Roast in the oven, peel and slice or keep whole for stuffing. They are incredibly fleshy, versatile, tasty and cheap. And they freeze really well! 🍽️🍜
